Bio
Jeff Sneider is a veteran entertainment journalist with 20+ years of experience as an editor, reporter, columnist, and critic at top-tier publications. He currently publishes Hollywood's #1 independent newsletter, The InSneider, and he co-hosts two podcasts — 'The Hot Mic with John Rocha,' and the awards-themed show 'For Your Consideration' with Scott Mantz and Perri Nemiroff. He previously hosted 'The Sneider Cut' podcast for Collider Video and 'Meet the Movie Press' for Maria Menounos' Afterbuzz TV. Jeff began his career as a 19-year-old contributor to Ain't It Cool News, where he dubbed himself 'MiraJeff.' After graduating from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, he moved to L.A. and began writing for Variety and later, TheWrap, serving two tours of duty at each industry trade. Jeff also spent a year writing for the popular Hollywood newsletter The Ankler, and several years contributing to Los Angeles Magazine. Additionally, Jeff served as Editor-in-Chief of Above the Line, Below the Line, and The Tracking Board, as well as Senior Film Reporter for both Collider and Mashable. He has also written for MTV Movies Blog, Hollywood Life, Washington Square News , and the Colorado Springs Independent. Jeff's Oscar picks have been published by Gold Derby and the LA Times, and he boasts more than 55,000 followers on Twitter, which he stubbornly refuses to call X. He is the most successful Teams player in the history of the Movie Trivia Schmoedown, where he won multiple championships despite never having eaten a salad. Jeff strongly agrees with screenwriter William Goldman, who famously said of Hollywood, "Nobody knows anything."
